Satoshi Yagisawa: Shibuya Scramble Crossing: Concert Band

This work was composed in 2018 as a commission to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Shibuya Youth Band, based in Tokyo, Japan. Its world premiere was conducted by the composer's mentor, Masato Sato.
Shibuya, a special ward in Tokyo, is a symbol of Japanese urban landscape and a center of culture, entertainment, and fashion. It is known for its scramble crossing, the most famous intersection in the world.
