Eric Whitacre: Sleep: Mixed Choir And Accomp.

This is a beautifully crafted a cappella work for SATB Choir (divisi: 2 Soprano, 2 Alto, 2 Tenor, 2 Bass). The music was originally composed to set the words of Robert Frost's poem Stopping By Woods, but owing to complex legalities involving the poet's estate the work had to be withdrawn. The composer, after long deliberation, decided to ask his friend and brilliant poet, Charles Anthony Silvestri, to set new words with the exact structure of the Frost poem.
