Since 2009, the London-based music technology company ROLI has been making high tech musical instruments. Founded by Roland Lamb, the company made waves with the award-winning Seaboard; the keyboard reimagined for the first time in centuries, incorporating a touch-responsive surface and a futuristic aesthetic, resonating with production hobbyists and greats such as Hans Zimmer and Grimes alike. ROLI are at the forefront of electronic instrumental innovation, having released the Lightpad blocks in 2017 and further exploring the limitations of the Seaboard.
