Product arrived after 3 days in perfect condition. I have tried several fingerstyle guitar books and this one is the best by miles. It would help if you have about six months experience of strumming or picking basic chords because the initial pace of this book is quite brisk. Fingerstyle techniques are introduced gradually and are accompanied by exercises. There are 40 tunes to learn, presented in Tab and Standard Notation with guidance on how to play the tricky parts of the tunes. There is not a CD with the book. However, most tunes are alternate bass picking in 4/4 time with on-beat and between-beat notes, therefore are simple to work out. Besides if you desperately want to hear a tune, then youtube it! This book and Perlman's follow-up, Advanced Fingerstyle Guitar, will teach you everything you will ever need to know, and in a straightforward and enjoyable way.

An excellent book for Folk and Blues fingerpicking, particulary if you are a fan of Mississipi John Hurt music, the book is over 240 pages and will take literally months to work through, not for beginners but ideal for early intermediate onwards, highly recommended
