Guitar Play-Along Volume 29 - Bob Seger

Books and CDs | Guitar Tab

Publisher: Hal Leonard
Artist: Bob Seger
Format: Sheet Music | Instrumental Album
This fabulous addition to the Guitar Play-along series contains eight of your favourite Bob Seger songs. Originally a hard-driving rocker, Seger developed into one of America’s most popular rock and folk-rock singers over the course of the '70s. Combining the charge of rock with hard-edged soul and R&B, he crafted a distinctively American sound. He has a message as well as a voice, he wrote the first anti-war rock song of the Vietnam era.

Through extensive touring with his Silver Bullet Band, Seger developed a dedicated following and after the success of his first two albums, he retained his popularity for the next two decades, releasing seven Top Ten, platinum-selling albums in a row.

His rock’n’roll story-telling has a conversational almost parable like quality, the characters are vivid and his tales are involved. His protagonists often do not find satisfaction or fulfilment, but despite this depressing context the familiarity and everyday nature of his lyrics endears themselves to us and we feel charmed and uplifted.

This Volume will help you play your favourite songs quickly and easily. Just follow the tab, listen to the demonstrations on the CD and then play-along using the seperate backing tracks. Arranged for accurate Guitar Tab including the complete lyrics and melody line all the featured songs.

        Musicroom Reviews

The backing tracks are top-notch and allow buskers like me to really get into the feeling of the track. I would recommend this book to any Seger fans even if they don't play just to see how the songs develop and work.
