A really useful book of exercises for those who need more than the ABRSM specimen test books. They include helpful hints and questions to guide the student in how to approach a sight reading exercise. At the end there are several examples with no hints.

this is wonderful for anyone who, like me, worked at a fast pace through all of the grades in order to pass grade 5!

My students find this title a very good way to improve their sight reading. It helps them to look out for areas in the score with questions to answer before playing the piece. This means that they can practice at home on their own without me.

These sight reading series are great for students! Each page introduces new area to concentrate on - step by step method, asking questions and suggesting what to look out for! At the end of the book, there are sight reading exercises with no help tools, so you can test what the students have learned and do they now think for themselves. Each Grade is of a higher standard than the book states, so the students are over-prepared for the Grade that they are about to take.
