        Musicroom Reviews

Those of you who read Peter Erskine's articles in Rhythm Magazine know what a vast knowledge and understanding of drumming concepts he commands through years of top level playing experience. This book is no different - it is quite philosophical but has practical examples where relevent to put his thoughts into context. This is a musicians book first and foremost but geared to the specific considerations of the drummer. It is very involving and is not a "how to..." by any means - this text requires the reader to go away and mull over the ideas put forward in it. It will appeal most to the experienced player, but has relevent points for any level drummer or any other musician. One of the best book I've ever invested in - this has challenged and changed ny approach to listening and playing!
