Nice mix of traditional carols and other Christmas songs. The jazzy settings are mostly good, not too demanding but have enough content to make them interesting
Not keen on some of the styles for the more upbeat carols

Book ok but not for anyone under Grade 4 in my opinion.
        Some arrangements a bit tacky

Some great alternative arrangements of the old familiar carols. Enjoyable to play as background chill music.

My granddaughter who is approaching Grade 5 Piano was delighted with her Christmas gift. She wanted something of a challenge and this book did just that - although she has not been able to sit and practise as much as she would like at this time.

C'est super, ça change des mélodies "trop" traditionnelles des chants de Noël. La version jazzy est très bien faite. j'ai vraiment aimé jouer ces morceaux même si j'ai principalement une formation classique de conservatoire.

Good jazzy arrangements, and nice selections of carols and songs. Good choice for something different at the Christmas concert.

A joyful book with a mixture of Christmas carols (Away in a Manger, We Three Kings etc.) and more popular Christmas songs (Last Christmas, Winter Wonderland etc.) They are wonderfully arranged in the jazz/swing style with some absolutely beautiful moments harmonically (especially the middle section in Winter Wonderland!). Fairly easy arrangements, I would not recommend it to anyone less than grade 5/6 or so.

Excellent compilation of both traditional carols, modern Christmas songs like Mary's Boy Child, as well as fun favourites like Winter Wonderland. Fun to play (intermediate) and will enhance your Christmas round the fire, or any festive event. Will definitely get you into the festive season with a bang. Especially like the piano breaks, where jazzy improvised-sounding passages are written out. Great for the would-be jazz pianist.

There are some very nice arrangements included here. Quite playable but interesting and often lush. Worked well for a Children's Christmas Eve service.

This and volume 2 are an excellent buy. Some beautiful jazz harmonies liven up Away in a Manger, while God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen and We Three Kings will liven up any party. Highly recommended.

Just what I wanted, an anthology of Christmas carols, which can be dug out every year. Thoroughly recommended.

I brought this book last Christmas, and I can't stop playing it! I really love the pieces, and the jazzy-ness of the traditional carols sound very good. I am about Grade 5, and I found most of the pieces ok to play - once you get the rhythms right! A 'must' for any budding pianists out there!
