A musical version of the poem by Robert Browning, written for four soloists, chorus (unbroken, or broken voices in unison or two part) and piano.
An ideal selection for young singers and school groups - the dramatic nature of the music will inspire performers to expand their visual presentation to include costumes, creating a fully theatrical piece.
I am thrilled to find this publication on your website. This cantata is beautifully written with lovely lyrical songs and is such a clever musical adaptation of the wonderful Browning poem 'The Pied Piper'. I performed it when I was 10 years old in a massed choir of local schools and, 25 years on I am now teaching it to pupils who love it as much as I do. This cantata comes highly recommended KS2-3 age groups and would tie in beautifully with cross-curricular links with English, Art and Dance. Anonymous
