Absolutely brilliant up tempo arrangements.
Soloist's music printed "out of sync" causing tunes going over two pages needing a page turn.

Like all Sarah Watts' books this one is brilliantly written to captivate the student, inspire the musician in that student and keep up the sometimes flagging inspiration of the teacher. This one is fabulous - the jazzy arrangements and cheeky musical twists achieve all of the above points. I love it
Just don't buy it for absolute beginners - this is for a range C - E'

Some interesting variations on standard Christmas carols. Be aware that you need to have quite a good range of notes in the lower register to play these - not suitable for those who are only part of the way through the standard Razzamajazz book. Anonymous

This is a brilliant book which really gets you going. The CD accompaniment is brilliant and we really enjoy playing the pieces. It is great for getting kids playing - they love the jazzy versions of the carols, and they are not hard to play so it is easy to get great results. I was unsure whether to get this recorder version, or the flute version, but my daughter can play these pieces on her flute too, so it is a multi-purpose book which suits all members of the family. Appropriate for those who have been learning a little while, but my students really enjoyed using these arrangements. Anonymous

Lovely arrangements with simple piano parts. The recorder part is MUCH more difficult than Razzamajazz recorder 5 note fiesta but is worth the effort to progress. Also works well for beginner flute and oboe players. Anonymous
