I'm really looking forward to using these super backing tracks with my school - such a brilliant selection of songs! Some tracks are better quality than others in terms of musical 'richness'and also some don't have a clear vocal line to follow, which could make it tricky to introduce/use a song if you weren't already familiar with it yourself. Also there are one or two that I still think are pitched a little too high for young voices (I suspect they have kept to the original keys - shame). The age division (FS, KS1, KS2) is a helpful starting point for planning, though there are many songs in the KS1 section that I know KS2 children will enjoy and vice versa.I had some difficulty tracking down the songbook that accompanies the CD set - sorry to say musicroom.com couldn't come up with it, but I did manage to get it from another online sheet music supplier. To make this a perfect resource I do think the publishers could have gone to the effort of supplying words with the set and some written guidance as to how the backing tracks are structured (i.e. how many times through, length of intros etc) just to take away some of the guesswork and to make this resource more user-friendly for the non-music specialist.

This set of CDs is truely amazing and just what I have spent six months searching for. Each track is fully orchestrated (I had expected just piano accompaniment) and has the melody in place for children to sing with, unlike karaoke tracks. The keys are great for children's voices and the choices of songs wide and varied. Highly recommended, and also very useful to teachers taking a school choir.
