John Philip Sousa: Marches For Organ

Books | Organ

Publisher: Kevin Mayhew Ltd.
Composer: John Philip Sousa
Format: Sheet Music | Instrumental Album
The 'March King' John Philip Sousa (1854-1932) wrote over 100 marches for his world-famous band. So great was their popularity that they appeared in many solo and ensemble arrangements, even including Guitar, Zither, Mandolin and Banjo.

Given their original conception for Wind Instruments, and Sousa's own predilection for, and skill in, transcriptions, arrangements for Organ seem highly appropriate.
These pieces have been expertly arranged by Martin Setchell.

It's a lot of cheerful music and good for a contrast with more serious stuff. Also I heard the Liberty Bell march used as the exit music for a wedding recently to everyone's pleasure.
