Two favourite and popular Arias by W.A. Mozart, arranged by A.W. Benoy and A. Bryce for B flat Clarinet and Piano accompaniment. The Arias are Voi Che Sapete from The Marriage Of Figaro and Ah, Perdona from Titus.
A lovely pair of arias, the first (Voi Che Sapete) better known than the second one, but they both transfer well to the clarinet. There is some transposition of parts in places, and there is a mistranscription of rhythm in the piano part of Voi Che just before the reprise, but otherwise it and its fellow are useful tuition pieces and could even be played in a light-weight recital. Ideal for Grade 5+. A good combination of the very well known and and (to me anyway) not well known aria which made me listen to the original music. Anonymous
