This book and the piano accompaniment CD is just brilliant. I am so pleased with it and it will be very useful for teaching with. My pupils will love it. I only wish this had been available with accompaniments when I was learning back in the 90's!

This is an invaluable book for singing teachers and students. The CD accompaniment is a life saver!

For any aspiring singer (I am a Baritone and only relatively recently taken up singing in earnest), this is an excellent series of songs and arias with which to help develop ones technique; particularly rhythm/tempi, Italian pronunciation with its important emphasis on vowels and consonants. My new choral teacher recommended them to me and I have been very pleased with the result. In conjunction with this series, I have also ordered Vaccai Metodo Practico - make sure you order with the CD; I forgot the first time round! The service from has been exemplary.

Excellent resource for those who want to explore Arias of the 17th and 18th Centuries. The accompaniment of all songs and arias is recorded on CD so it is very helpful if you don't always have someone to play for you. Also, a great software is included that helps you modify tempo and pitch of each song to suit your abilities.

I think this is one of the best books available for any students of singing. On one level you are just enjoying singing a beautiful aria perhaps without realising you are learning quite so much about technique in the process simply because it has been so skillfully written. The voice is brought forward naturally and healthy vowels and consonants are encouraged by the use of Italian language, it is a great collection (with a brilliant practice CD) and one of my very favourite singing books!

I recently started college and have decided to major in voice performance. This book was the first book I purchased. I really had no prior experience singing Italian songs, but now I love it! It is such a beautiful language to sing. I even went out and bought recordings of some songs performed by singers like Maria Callas and Cecilia Bartoli. I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in finding a beautiful collection of songs in one book!
