The level in each lesson is exactly right. Easy start with instant success and then taken step by step to the point when you can pock out most tunes on your flute.
It's a little addictive. I spent hours daily practicing in the first couple of weeks. But that might be a good thing.

I love this book for beginners. It takes a logical approach, with fun material. The humour appeals to the children, and makes me smile each time. I recommend the related teachers book, with the flute and piano accompaniments.

This is an absolutely excellent first tutor. Well set out with pieces that engage the pupils straight away. Good on technique and introduces notes and rhythm with equal importance.
