Manual Miscellany For Organ Book One

Books | Organ

Publisher: Novello
Format: Sheet Music | Instrumental Album
Edited by C.H. Trevor, this book selectively compiles 27 intermediate standard pieces for organ. Although the pieces have suggestions for registration on an organ of two (and sometimes three) manuals, all the pieces can be played effectively on a one-manual instrument with appropriate stops. The pedals can be used at the player's discretion. Composers such as Purcell, Handel, Charpentier, Chauvet and Franck all appear in this edition, which boasts music spanning 200 years and more.

      Musicroom Reviews

I am a pretty average and reluctant church organist. I would rather listen to someone better than me! So to find a book of music of which the majority of pieces are playable by me is a big bonus. Well worth purchasing.

AS an amateur pianist (Grade 7)who plays the organ, using the manuals only, for our country church Sunday services, I found this immensely helpful. The pieces are relatively simple, and have clear guidelines for stops and possible uses. I am considering buying further volumes.
