This delightful setting of the French carol is perfectly suited to open a service or concert with its spirited choral parts, energetic articulations, and quick glissandi in the Organ. A new English translation is written by David Warner.
Fantastic, lively piece - and quite accessible for the singers although demanding for the accompanist. We found the pitch a little too high - with sopranos required to reach top B flat so we had to transpose down - but apart from that a great piece. Anonymous
