The Best of Flute is a major collection of the best loved pieces and studies selected by the major examination boards, from current favourites to forgotten gems. These books include the pieces which have captured the imaginations of teachers and students over the years.
Technically tried and tested, all the pieces have been rigorously researched by Flute expertSally Adams. A CD of performances and Piano accompaniments is included, as well as useful practice tips. One piece from each list of the 2008-2013 Associated Board syllabus is included, enabling candidates to use the books in their graded examinations.
The Best of books are fantastic value for money; as well as the instrumental part there is a piano part and a cd and if you were to buy all the pieces separately it would cost a fortune! I just wish that the series was extended to include grade 6 and 7. These books are a must! Anonymous

An interesting and varied collection of pieces, and provides a good basic repertoire for pupils at the Grade 4-5 stage, making various technical and musical demands. Also enjoyable just to play through them for fun! Anonymous

Good selection of pieces from all exam boards - nice to try out at a decent price considering the quality accompaniment CD with it too. Anonymous

This is a great book if you are sitting SQA Advanced Higher Music, as all the pieces are from recent exam syllabus repertoire so there are no worries about choosing something of the right standard. Good variety of pieces and styles, and with the CD it makes it easier to practise. You can even use the accompaniment CD in your SQA exam, (but not ABSRM - you need a live accompanist for that.) Piano accompaniments are provided too, so all in all an excellent buy. Anonymous
