Easy to read. Great for beginners & those who know a bit as well!
A lot of content on the supplied CD.
A couple of minor printing errors in the book but does not detract from the good content & value for money

Mark Wessels book is the one that my daughter's school recommends she should have in order to help her learn how to drum. She finds it very helpful and easy to understand

With so many other what would be seen to be similar packages available, I was a little wary about purchasing this product. The thing that swayed me was the fact it was a Hudson product which can only mean one thing, it must be good! Having purchased this book/CD it seems to be a first class teaching/learning resource. The accompanying disk is MP3 based which means that all the tracks can be accessed through any up-to-date CD player or as in my case PC. The advantage of using a PC is that through use of a sequencer it is possibly to loop any of the audio examples including play along tracks (with and without drums) to your heart’s content! The package includes many chapters from learning to read (understanding note values), technique and on various styles of music from Rock, Jazz and Latin etc. Each style has a range of possible pattern ideas and variants as well as fill ideas before taking you to the play along piece. All in all if you are serious about playing the drums this is a must have!
