André Rieu: Forever Vienna - Piano Solo

Books | Piano

Publisher: Wise Publications
Format: Sheet Music | Instrumental Album
All the uplifting waltz music from the classical chart topping album arranged for Piano solo, including The Blue Danube.

With Forever Vienna, the Johann Strauss Orchestra has broken records to become the best selling orchestral album ever, topping the classical album charts from the time of its release for over three months. The album has also transcended its traditional market, reaching the number 2 spot on the pop charts.

Much of this success is down to conductor André Rieu who has injected fun back into the waltz by not so much conducting as leading the orchestra with his Violin and a mixture of wit, humour and spontaneity rarely seen in the classical world.

      Musicroom Reviews

I write as an experienced musician. I admire greatly this product which has arranged the layout of the music so that it is easy to turn pages. I do not believe this is just an Andre Rieu arrangement, some of the accompanying chords are not as Johann Strauss would have used, eg chord 7b instead of 5/7. I believe other hands than Andre's have been at work here. There are also too many quick octave passages for the RH in the melody of some pieces. Nevertheless it is good to have a selection from an actual concert, good arrangements of Johann Strauss are hard to come by.

I got exactly what was asked for. Very clear and easy to understand. Andre Rieu is a wonderfully gifted and charismatic musician who succeeds in bring his music to the general public all over the world. Once you have heard him you are hooked for ever.

After years of not really getting into Waltzes, I heard Andre Rieu playing them with his orchestra, and now I am hooked. He puts so much energy into the music, and his musicians obviously enjoy their involvement in the orchestra. This is what music is all about, fabulous book, wuith great arrangements by Andre. highly recommend.
