George Gershwin: Walking The Dog - String Quartet (Parts)

Books | String Quartet

Publisher: Broadbent and Dunn
Composer: George Gershwin
Format: Sheet Music | Parts
This promenade was originally improvised by its composer on the film set of the film Shall We Dance to provide music for a scene not previously thought to need it. Gershwin subsequently wrote it down and this arrangement elaborates on what was originally a simpler piece.

      Musicroom Reviews

One of the better Broadbent & Dunn / Martelli arrangements - simpler treatment and better for it. Still has a stupid 'too-clever-for-its-own-good' tempo direction though - don't patronise your audience.
