Ludwig Van Beethoven's Piano sonatas comprise a wealth of musical expression, ranging from subdued and unpretentious to magnificently impassioned. Sonata quasi una Fantasi or Moonlight Sonata, Op.27 No.2 is one of the most popular and most-often performed pieces ever written. Like many of Beethoven's works this sonata reflects the depth of his musical power. From its quiet yet moving beginning, to its passionate finale, it is easy to see why this piece is so popular.

This complete version of the sonata has been edited by Willard A. Palmer and also contains a background to the piece and Beethoven's conventions and writing.

I thought the paper very poor quality and unlikely to stand up to much use. Print not as clear as expected.

A nice book with information about the composer and all three movements. Although this was bought for my sons and primarily the first movement it's great to have the full piece of work for when they want to take it further.

This is a great arrangement of an excellent piece of music. The notes at the beginning of the manuscript are very informative and useful and music is clear and easy to follow - with excellent page breaks(perfectly placed for turning the pages!)

In addition to the sheet music, this book has info about Beethoven, his Sonata and Performance Suggestions. It's thoroughly useful providing background like this as it allows you to make an educated interpretation of the piece. His Moonlight Sonata is a very enjoyable piece to play with relatively easy first and second section, but a complex fiery third section. I'm still learning it!

Thanks for the very prompt delivery. We gave it to our son as part of his Christmas gifts and he was very pleased, indeed. He is playing it at as I write.

Really good edition of this lovely piece. The introductiory notes are very helpful and insightful, both from the modern day editor and from Beethoven's student. I found the explanation of the editorial decisions and the way Beethoven would have intended it to be played excellent.

Wonderful. The first movement is quite easy, the second a bit harder (with a nasty key sig.) and the third is mind-bogglingly difficult. It is the complete thing by the way and has lots of notes on how to play it. There are some other interesting bits in the front as well.
