        Musicroom Reviews

As a teacher of music in UK primary and middle schools for nearly 30 years, I feel compelled to say how I relieved and delighted I am to find Lina Ng's theory workbooks. They are not only progressive but clearly laid out too. Also, they are totally uncluttered with explanatory text which could be well above the normal reading age of my pupils. Thank you.

Great book with exercises for younger students to complete. Increases confidence of note reading, timesignatures, scales, have used this book regularly, hard to find anything better for younger students.

The best theory book I have found so far :)

Stickers in the volumes for little children make a compulsive start for any beginner in theory and the fun ideas and games keep them hooked from grade to grade. It includes some recognition of piano keys which non-pianists could leave out - but otherwise appeals to all: glad they've updated the cover so my older pupils won't feel they're too babyish! How about an online website with interactive games from Lina Ng ??? Now that'd be worth subscribing to !! %) !!

This book has totally changed the way pupils view theory-it's no longer something to make them do-they choose to do it and sometimes ask specifically for theory to do!! Wonderful.

My daughter has enjoyed this book and has learned a lot from it. It is less dry than the ABRSM books and includes the information that you need to answer the questions, so you don't need to work with a separate guide as you do with ABRSM.
