Music of profound beauty from one of the greatest vocal music composers of the past 100 years, set to text by T.S. Eliot. This is one of Britten's five canticles and was first performed at The Maltings, Snape on 26th June 1971.
The score is spaced out well and easy to follow. This trio is for advanced level but with practise can be achieved by intermediate. The countertenor part can be substituted by a mezzo soprano with a bottom F#. Anonymous
