Pauline Hall: Piano Time 3 (2004 Edition)

Books | Piano

Series: Piano Time
Format: Books | Instrumental Tutor
Piano Time is a hugely successful series for all young beginners, from the very first lesson up to around grade 3. With a complete range of carefully paced and attractive books - tutors, books of pieces of all kinds, duets, and technique books - Piano Time is a highly enjoyable way to learn the piano.

Piano Time 3 builds on the techniques acquired in Piano Time 1 and 2, introducing new keys, semiquavers in various rhythmic patterns, triplets, and a variety of finger-twister exercises. It also practises the alberti bass, scales with hands together and the melodic minor scale, and shows players how to plan their own concert. With a host of attractive pieces in all styles, a gradual pace to suit all players, and many wonderful illustrations in full colour, this is a superb tutor book for all young musicians.

All the books in this series are a delight to use, from all points of view. Teachers find them excellent as their attractive appearance encourages pupils to handle, open them and play, and the material is sequentially skill and confidence-building. I have been delighted with this series since it first appeared many years ago, and consider the new editions even better.
