Really attractively laid out, good colours, and a really useful CD. I love the idea of putting duets and part playing into the beginners book - it will make some more interesting activities for the children and develop their skills in this aspect of playing at a very early stage.
Once the CD pocket has been 'unzipped' there is no means of shutting it to stop the CD falling out if the book is turned upside down. A flap on the pocket would have been a simple solution

The fact that it is large print so for beginners reading is easier.
Also the lovely Cd accompaniments serve a dual purpose - they don't learn rhythms incorrectly and they also have a very pleasant accompaniment to encourage more practice!
C.D has a tendency to fall out of the pack so can easily be lost!

Excellent book and cd. It is allowing our 6 year old to progress through the scales due to its clear layout. The layout and print also mean she can go off by herself to practice.

Excellent book + CD. For beginners learning the recorder, like myself, the instructions are clear and easy to understand.

I have bought this for my 7 year old niece who lives in Germany. The book looks managable and I am hoping the cd will help her learn the recorder too.

This book is an excellent tutor book for the beginner. Ideal for 6 - 7 year olds especially. The music is very well spaced and clearly printed in a child friendly manner. The tunes are catchy and a large proportion of them have words so you can teach the child to sing the song as well.
