      Musicroom Reviews

This is a really good game for making rhythm fun for small children, either to play in lessons or with parents/siblings. It is so good, that I have made my own harder version for pupils that can handle more advanced rhythms - I would love it if Measure Up! brought out more games at different levels of difficulty, maybe focussing on a couple of new aspects of rhythm in each level. It is a great, fun teaching tool for an aspect of music that some pupils can find hard to grasp and maybe boring.

A bit of a game for anoraks really, but quite good fun.

The kids had great fun working out the rules and then discuss how to make a complete bar (and finding out how to cheat!!!).

Good quality card game for key stage 2 children. Helps with music theory.

Brilliant game for all ages. A great way to help learn note values and time signatures.

Great game, took us a while to sort out the rules, but good learning tool, and my students love playing it. Can also be used just as a teaching tool for time signatures

This is a fun and portable resource which kids "get". The cards fit into bars and support theory teaching. If you have tricky bars, you can dissect them with the cards, then count out loud. Cards are of excellent materials, and will not bend or break, I think.

Bought this as a little extra for our kids at Christmas and it's really good - teaches them though play which is just what we wanted. The kids are always happy to play these games and we get a nice bit of family time out of it too.

I was looking for something to make piano lessons exciting. This game is a real hit with my pupils - It's quick and easy to pick up - I find it works well as a treat/reward for hard work.
