Tchaikovsky: Album For The Young Op.39 (ABRSM)

Books | Piano

Publisher: ABRSM Publishing
Format: Sheet Music | Instrumental Album

Easier Piano Pieces Vol.2. Edited by Howard Ferguson.

Tchaikovsky sub-titled this collection, first published in 1878, '24 easy pieces (à la Schumann)'. Like his predecessor, Tchaikovsky had the innate ability of writing for young people without writing down to them, as illustrated here with this set of charming and characteristic miniatures.

Muzurka is included as an alternative piece on ABRSM Piano Grade 4 syllabus, 2017-2018

      They are lovely pieces.
I realised that I had got a number of the pieces in other books already.

An excellent edition of a beautiful collection of pieces for the beginner pianist by one of the greatest Romantic composers. Very good quality binding and printing, complete with fingering.

A great set of pieces for youngsters who want to learn about this composer and perform his works. Good for progressing with too.
