This book was excellent! The Smiths, for me, are the greatest rock band ever. I was devastated when they cancelled the last gigs on their last American tour, for which I had tickets. I was devastated again when they broke up. I never got to see them! And their career was cut short. I just can't believe they didn't have more great music in them. Apart from one another, neither Morrissey nor Johnny Marr have achieved anything near the greatness they achieved together. And now I know why it all blew apart -- juvenile power plays, drunkenness, and drugs. As far as I'm concerned, as a major Smiths fan, I deserve to know that information, and I thank Johnny Rogan for providing it.

A very detailed account of The Smiths from start to finish. However, the interesting content of the book is constantly tainted by Johnny Rogan's irritating swipes at Morrissey and his agenda.
