The presenter on cd is uninspiring , not very friendly & looks like she's been forced into it ! Music notation for a novice is too small in the book.

I would not recommend this for a beginner who has little music knowledge ,The DVD is of poor quality and the tutor does not always speak clearly so some of the information is missed. finger positioning can not be seen clearly. it gets one star as the book has a lot of songs... which i have no idea how to play. i have wasted my money on this purchase, very disappointing.

Overall a good product. That said I thought it moved too quickly into playing songs, some more in depth tutoring on the basics would have made it better. I would also have expected to see something on how to read music.

I was very impressed with the product far better than exspected and quite surprised with the amount of information in the pack The package was very good in deed I found the DVD very interesting and easy to follow

Very poor package. The presenter on the DVD had no enthusiasm at all for teaching the violin. She gave some very basic information then played major and minor scales without providing any details of the fingering required. The accompanying book was very small (a5 I think), and did not cross reference the music to the tunes on the CDs. Not worth the money.
