A fabulous songbook of classic songs from the boogie-woogie pianist and ex-Squeeze member, and his Rhythm And Blues Orchestra. This is a very good book, pianists roughly about Grade 5+ standard. I didn't realise when I bought it that most of the songs only have the right hand (the melody), so I was left to make up my own, which isn't the same. Also, the songs that are in full piano form (Brick Lane, From Grey to Blue, The Hand That Changed Its Mind, Panic Attack, Return of The Blues Cowboy, Temple Bar and Valentine Moon) only have the main parts of the songs, they don't have the solos he does or the endings. That said, it is a very good book, and learning the songs is very satisfying.

This was a last minute but very welcome present for someone very special.... who greatly appreciated a lot of the songs are ones that both love... he is looking forward to 'mastering' the pieces himself now.... Again, very well packaged and arrived on time!! Thank you

I wanted a Jools Holland book focusing on piano score but this book allows for other instruments (guitar chords above each bar on some pieces) It is perfect for those wanting to practice improvisation skills which I find very hard.

I am a big Jools Holland fan and I'm delighted that he has finally released a songbook. Over the years Jools has had a dramatic influence on my piano playing. This book offers a mixed collection of songs and has something for the beginner to the advanced pianist. I would recommend it for any Jools Holland fan.

Jools has released a book - finally we can all pretend we have just a little of his genius! As a long term Jools fan I was a little disappointed that I had to try and be a jazz genius all by myself! Fantastic book.
