Supernatural Rhythm and Grooves. Complete breakout sessions for each groove and style, hosted by Horacio "El Negro" Hernandez. Also features, lessons with Santana's percussionists Karl Perazzo and Raul Rekow.
It is a well thought out DVD - there are no wasted spaces and the dialogue is clear with great common sense tips. There are references, not just the technical aspects, but to textures and space. There are also multiple camera angles and the mix is perfect. Finally, a real bonus is that each breakdown is accompanied by on-screen musical notation. The conga patterns assume the veiwer has a good grasp of basic tones and techniques (it also assumes you have a good grasp of the basics of the timbale). My only real complaint is that a big musical number is not included... the DVD could have done with at least two five minute instrumental pieces with more involved solos. That said, evrything on the DVD is tasteful. Anonymous

Very nice DVD of two of the best percussionists of the Santana band. I would recommend this instructional DVD to everybody that has a passion for rhythms or percussion. And the best part of it is that the demos they do are within reach ... as long as you practice.
