        GB Traditional old fogey!
One or two interesting pieces, with careful selection of performance time.
The bi-tonality of "Blessed Assurance" is not to my taste. It destroys the simplicity of the original hymn. An attempt to outdo Charles Ives? Why?

You will never be disappointed by Young's music, It can be reverent, joyous, humorous and just down right fun to play !
It's rather hard to find his music in print anymore. It's only available with any selection on a handful of sites. So find it while you can !

A very good range of music which is relatively easy to play, especially for the sight reader musician. The music is very tuneful and admirabley suited to church. It also assists the organist to demonstrate the power and range of the organ when using these pieces as recital material. It is also good to introduce a 'new' composer.
