Cornhill Dedicated to the Standards
- It is a great jazz number. It has a natural swingy feel to it if performed properly.
- It's another one of these songs which move sideways when you reach the middle eight (although it is a 48 bar song).
There is no designated change of key it just seems that way. Cole Porter, Jerome Kern and many others used to use this format. Although Jerome Kern quite often showed the change of key. It's not really a bad point. It sometimes, if you are improvising over the chords, interferes with your continuity if you are not used to it.
