This book 2 is an excellent step up from book 1 and contains the additional material to advance the training of a learner saxophonist. It continues the easy to read and progress format with which I am familiar as I have used the books in the past. I now use both book 1 and book 2 for refresher purposes and as aids for the training of others.
Both book 1 and book 2 are very good learning media. However the format is perhaps a little dated now and some of the progression means playing the same tunes over again but with the addition of more notes or in a different key. This in itself is not a bad thing (I don't object to this myself) but comments from trainees tend to infer that they would prefer to play different tunes as extra notes and different keys are introduced.
