Easy mixed duets for descant and treble recorders to play together, suitable for two players or for class ensembles. The 22 duets feature a wide range of well-known arrangements including folk songs, spirituals, Latin American dances, blues and classical favourites as well as original pieces by John Pitts. The material is precisely graded so that both the descant and treble parts progress gradually in difficulty and range of notes. The Pupil's book includes guitar chord symbols along with suggestions for use of percussion instruments. The Teacher's book contains piano accompaniments for all the pieces, as well as some additional pitched/unpitched percussion parts.
Great introduction to duets for the two most popular recorder types. My six-year old and I are working our way through this and we're having a lot of fun. Playing together is a great way to get him to practice and it's a lovely way of spending time together. I'm a very rusty treble player and it's good for him to see me struggling a bit and having to work a bit harder to sound good...that's what I tell myself anyway! Anonymous

A very good book for different levels and ages. As a beginner I found some pieces easy to play from the start. Anonymous

Great little product with a good variety of duets. I did find that the name 'From The Beginning' does suggest that they are easier than they are though - some of my younger pupils did struggle with them slightly. Anonymous
