Nicely presented. Lots of familiar pieces. 100 melodies , brilliant.
For me there was not enough substance to each piece. I would have liked pieces to have been longer and a little more challenging.

As an adult beginner I am enjoying most of this book. Some are tricky but recognisable (such as the Bolero) but it is great when you play a song you recognise and particularly helps a beginner like me to get the timing correct.

Brilliant flute book for my daughter who has only been playing for a year and is grade 2. She couldn't wait to play the music in there. A lot of the tunes she already knows but there are still plenty for when she advances further. A great buy.

Good introduction to the Classics for the younger generation who may have little knowledge. The music covers the best known part and not the all of it so be warned this does not contain all the music from beginning to end. Good spread of music as well so should cover most tastes.

I like the variety of music and the variety of playing levels in the book, however, what has made me give it a 3-star review rating is that the editors have cut the pieces so that you only have the main theme of the piece that most people are familiar with. However, it does include music for all levels of playing, and I would definitely recommend it for flute players of all levels of playing ability.

This book provides a nice selection of classic melodies from most of the famous composers, whether that be Mendelssohn or Mozart. However, many of the pieces only feature the main melody line which we have come to know, and none of the pieces can really make a full performance piece for those higher than about grade 3. However this book is ideal for a flute student interested in being able to play bits from the classics, like Eine Kleine Nachtmusik from Mozart or The Eroica Symphony by Beethoven.
