My daughter was asked to buy this by her clarinet teacher. I think it's great for a child because it includes lots of pieces so they can be working on several pieces at the same time and don't get bored. It's great value for money.

After having used various starter books, I have used this again recently and find it useful, with some familiar tunes, but also playable new ones. Moves at a manageable pace.
Some of the "popular" tunes are no longer current, but they are never going to be in vogue for very long by the very nature of what they are

A someone returning to the Clarinet after many years I find this book ideal. It shows where each note is found and then gives exercises to allow one to practise it thoroughly before advancing to the next. This is a stress-less way to proceed.

Pupils love this tutor book as there are lots of familiar tunes to enjoy. The fingerings are very clear and can be easily checked by the students.

This is a very well written and illustrated teaching book. This newer edition is an improved version of the book I already choose to teach from. The illustrations are helpful musically and for instrument technique.
