Pupils are encouraged to initially practice counting various rhythm patterns, note reading and other sight reading skills separately. I always work through these exercises with pupils before moving onto standard sight reading exercises. Has definitely helped to improve examination marks.

I use this book with my pupils to help work them towards and beyond the sight-reading standard for grade 2. It builds up a rounded understanding of what's required at this level with rhythm help and a gradual introduction of new key signatures. I have found this book invaluable help to my pupils, even if they aren't taking exams.

This series is quite useful. Because of the academic nature of it I find adult pupils tend to take to it more than children.

Excellent!!! This is perfect for the budding piano player who wants to improve sight reading. The series flows through a natural progression from basic tips and exercises to full exam style prepared pieces that gets you sight reading quickly and proficiently in no time at all.

I am enjoying this series and so are my students. The book is broken into stages, with tapping rhythm exercises that progress to notation and then to mini pieces with dynamics and tempo markings. I have students who want to improve their sightreading and ask to do this book at their lessons!
