Lots of wonderful songs from the ABRSM exam repertoire, with a CD of excellent piano accompaniment.
Unfortunately, almost all the songs are suited for the soprano range, with little or nothing that fits alto voices.

          Musicroom Reviews

This book has an especially lovely selection of songs. The Cds are useful as a practise tool only...not all the items are necessarily at the speed one would choose. Folk songs have pronunciation guides.

Purchased this book for my singing pupils, CD accomp an added attraction. However very disappointed with the accomp tracks as the tempo varys so much in several of the songs that my pupils couldn't follow them, one of the songs the intro had been reversed in the verses. Excellent repertoire of songs for Higher Music though have had to redo accomps through Sibelius defeating the point of the CD.

This is an excellent book, because it has a really nice variety of song styles in it, with great tunes. The accompaniments are always useful as a learning tool. Most of the songs fit a range of voice types, although most of the repertoire favours a mezzo range. Brilliant for the ABRSM exam, but more importantly, very useable book, after exams have taken place.
