The collection contains a range of traditional Welsh tunes from children's nursery songs to some which adults would know - although the Welsh anthem ' Hen Wlad fy Nhadau' is conspicuous by its absence. The lyrics are in Welsh and accompanied by translations in a separate section. There's a very useful accompanying cd to play and sing along to which would support Welsh learners or those new to Welsh as regards pronunciation .It is well designed with uncluttered clear layout and attractive illustrations. Musically it is well considered and accessible to the beginner or less experienced piano player whilst also being ideal for use in the classroom.
A version of the Welsh national anthem could have been included.

An absolute must for EVER primary school in Wales. As an experienced Welsh/music primary school teacher I know that this would be a fantastic and most useful resource for any school.I have never seen such a wealth of children's folk songs compiled into one book. Many of my teacher friends have bought the book and agree with me that once you see the book you HAVE to buy it!
