As I bought a full set of 20 for the choir, I can say that I researched the content before the purchase, and thought it would suit us well.

Perfect for our small all-lady choir with limited rehearsal time.
Would be good if it were ring-bound to make it easier to hold and turn pages while singing, but that's a comment true to most books of this kind.

Easy to arrange these to suit smaller choirs & odd balances of singers.
People who know the original versions can find it hard to adjust to these arrangements.

This is an excellent book, catering for a wide range of abilities and presenting a good variety of musical styles. My choir are getting a lot of use out of it and enjoying the new pieces. The spiral-bound version is very useful for the accompanist/conductor.

Very useful book with helpful Index of Titles, First Lines, Liturgical Year and Themes. Also included is a list of original versions and their availability where more substantial alterations, additions or arrangements have been made for this book. Excellent flexibility where some parts are weak or missing from your choir. One suggestion: this is quite a thick book (20 mm) so probably better to go for the ring bound version - I wish I had. Just have to persuade the church authorities to shell out over £360 now for all the choir copies!

This collection will be of value to the directors of Parish Church choirs, no matter what their size, composition or standard. There is material here for every season of the Church's year, that can be adapted for minimal forces and accompanied on any keyboard instrument. The variety of musical styles is excellent, including popular pieces from centuries of choral repertoire (some in new arrangements to suit the anthology's specific format) together with interesting new works by the most exciting and dynamic of today's choral composers. Highly recommended!

Versatile book of anthems already well used by the Church Choir. If you are a Tenor some of the 3 part SA Men can be a little low!

This is a really excellent book. As the title suggests, each anthem can be sung in a variety of ways depending on what voices you have available. I particualarly like the way that most of the anthems have a single mens part rather than separate tenor and bass lines. The anthems are categorised by themes and by the church year. The only downside is that there are no Christmas anthems.
