A book full of brilliantly jazzy pieces. Some beautiful unaccompanied tracks as well as some complimented by a great piano score. If you are an extremely high level player, then this book will satisfy most of your jazz needs, or, if you are a begginer (like me) It will give you a good head-start in jazz playing, as there are plenty of more simple songs in it, and some harder so you can challenge yourself. Highly recommended by me!

This book introduces the blues. diminished and augmented, and whole tone scales, and also the stresses on different beats in the bar in the jazz style and follows it with studies. I think the theory could have been explained more fully e.g. how jazz artists improvise using these scales. The studies were very short and not musically very satisfying.
