Super book for beginners. It is fun, the backing tracks are great, and theory is tackled from the start with games, wordsearch, crossword, etc. Good progression, which continues into book 2. Pupils really enjoy it. So do I!!

Very useful for younger students and reinforces the need to feel confident with one note before moving on to the next one. Young children love the backing tracks.

My Eight year old daughter has just started to learn how to play the Flute at school and this book was recommended to as a great starter. The book is well illustrated, colourful, bright and full of helpful tips. This has enriched my daughters enjoyment of playing this instrument. I would recommend this book to anyone wishing to help their little stars.

The fact that a cd comes with this book is excellent. My daughter practices the songs in the book accompanied by the track on the cd. This makes it a lot easier to practice her timings.
