Good selection of pieces, very useful for teaching early grade classical pieces
Not a bad point about Classics to Moderns itself, but sadly, "More Cl to M" and "New Cl to M" don't have quite such a good selection as the original

The pieces are graded by difficulty in the list of contents which is really helpful.

Great manageable length pieces for this standard of player. Quick to learn and therefore good sense of achievement possible. Not overwhelming in length. Like the fact that the pieces get progressively more difficult.

One of the best anthologies I have seen, an excellent collection for the beginner pianist. What I like is that it is "real" repertoire, not simplifications or arrangements, while being easy enough for pupils approaching grade 1.

A nice book of pieces starting from pre-Grade 1 standard. A good one to go on to from tutor books. There is a useful list of pieces in order of difficulty at the beginning, and dates of composers are given. A nice variety of enjoyable pieces.

An excellent book for children or adults who have passed Grade 1 and like Classical music. The pieces are quite simple but sound very impressive.

Classics to Moderns Book 1 is a great book of pieces for the beginner student. The arranging of the pieces by period allows the student to learn a variety of styles and find their own musical preferences. Even though this is the easiest of the series, all the pieces are unabridged which gives the student the sense of having learned a 'proper grown-up' piece of music.
