The scales and arpeggios must be the hardest and most tedious section of the piano exams. These books by Josephine Koh approach scales from both the notation and fingering methods. My pupils can learn 2 or 3 scales with this method in 10 minutes. They enjoy it and feel a sense of achievement. The "dreaded" scales are gone!
