I would rate this book 5 stars for the musical content. Indeed I learned using "Music Makers" when I was 8, and have fond memories of the book. However it has been rather cheaply produced, on really thin paper and curly cardboard cover and at first glance I found three typos, which is a great pity. They hadn't thought to correct notes containing page numbers and exercise numbers from the original edition. Also the little Professor character hardly makes the book more child friendly. A duck would have been better.

Recommended by my daughter's piano teacher and our dear friend. Good tunes for a learner just starting to play "both hands together".

An excellent book for a more mature beginner, I have used this book for those who either have a little previous musical knowledge, or who are able to work at a reasonable pace. It provides a very good grounding in some basic techniques.
