Rovner: L6 Light Ligature - Alto Saxophone

| Alto Saxophone

Catalogue No: LEWROVL6
Rovner ligatures incorporate an old idea for creating pure, natural sound... they softly hold the reed to the mouthpiece with no pressure points, just as if the reed were tied on with a string. Because there are no pressure points or rigid constraints on the reed, the reed seats evenly to the facing of the mouthpiece and the result is reduced stiffness and increased tonal clarity, as well as an unparalleled extension to reed life. These features contribute to the playing characteristics for which Rovner Ligatures are famous; even scales, accurate intonation and excellent control.

The Rovner Light is a free-playing ligature with a broader, more open tone quality for gutsy, contemporary styles of playing. It provides a free and responsive feel similar to other Rovner Ligatures, but with a bit reedier air to the sound. You will find the same improved cap design as for the Rovner Dark, offering effective reed protection.

Easy to fit - I prefer this single-screw design to the two-screw metal ligatures.

Great variation of tone available which can take some getting used to, however, vast improvement on the usual metal ligature.

Made a descernable difference to the quality of sound from my Sax but still at a reasonable price. Perfect for learner/improvers like me.

Clear advice on how to use the ligature - without this I would never have thought of using it upside down or tilted to create different sounds. This also makes it a much more versatile ligature than the traditional metal ones. Delivery was quick and secure as always.
