Good for practising the higher notes on the recorder.
Not all the notes are printed properly, but, I can still read and play them.

This book is absolutely fantastic!! Very highly recommended. The backing track with the book is beautiful. A good thing about the backing track is it is guitar with a recorder playing, so you can hear what the tune sounds like before joining in. If however you don't want to hear the recorder you can change the balance on your speakers or telly or what ever you play the CD on so that you can only hear the guitar. I am a professional recorder player but extremely rusty, (haven't played in 9 years). Most of the tunes are very easy but there are some hard ones in there also. A good mixed bag! The type of music in this book suits the recorder perfectly. A pricey book but worth every single penny!

This is a fun recorder book - the tunes just want to be played over and over. The Guitar accompaniment adds to the overall enjoyment.

Have been playing recorder for 10 weeks and can manage some of the songs (haven't tried them all yet). The tunes are lovely and the CD is good. Would like another book with more similar tunes as I think I will be playing this selection a lot.

This book has some wonderful tunes. The accompanying CD where the tunes are played on recorder with the guitar is very helpful for hearing how it should sound and gives something to aspire to! Money well spent.

A book of truly lovely melodies with a good CD of accompaniments. Each track has the recorder lead on it which can be muted if necessary. I find it particularly useful to learn techniques of ornamentation used in Celtic style playing: grace notes, tongueing, cuts and rolls. A real gem of a book and worth every penny.

I have just received this and haven't yet played any of the music, but thought it worth mentioning that with the exception of The Parting Glass, MacPherson's Lament, and Ye Banks and Braes, the tunes are all totally unknown to me and not the usual Minstrel Boy etc.

This book contains some great music, both traditional and written by Jessica Walsh herself. This is the best book of recorder music I have bought.

I was looking for a book with cd for my son to practise his recorder. I was reluctant to buy this one at the price but was swayed by the reviews. I am pleased that I did go ahead as my son is very happy with the music (he is at an intermediate stage)and it has even encouraged my daughter to play again after she had given up a year ago.

Partitions et CD conformes à notre attente. Les morceaux celtes changent des répertoires habituellement rencontrés dans les méthodes. Grand succès chez mon fils de 10 ans (en 3ème année de flûte à bec)! Je recommande !
