This is one of the most elaborate and complex of Martelli's String Quartet arrangements. Martelli's approach is to use the original material of the song as the basis for a quasi symphonic musical discourse. The skilful use of the String Quartet medium achieves a richness and complexity unequalled by other arrangers in this genre. Recorded by Landor records by the Pavão Quartet (Someone to Watch over me - CD LAN 277).
This is a very good arrangement of a Gershwin number 'They all laughed at Christopher Columbus'
The title is a bit off putting, but the music is light and easy listening. Very playable. Anonymous
